Phase 1 complete

Seems like life has gotten really busy lately. I have been making sure to do my workouts though. I lost a total of 13 pounds during phase 1. Let's see what phase 2 brings.

Day 16

Ply for the third time. Tony is always talking about setting goals. I decided today that I would not take a second longer in breaks and not do anything modified. I did it! It is amazing how far I have come so far. Week one of Plyo was rough and had a hard time walking for three days afterwards. Now I can keep up, no extra breaks and can move after it.

One thing the DVD's are always talking about is the recovery drink. I just wanted to say thanks Jay for the Chocolate Milk idea. I have been using Ovaltine mix which has worked great! I feel so much better & feel that it works well.

Day 15

Due to the lack of weights & timing, we did core synergistics today. I actually really like this workout! It definitely burns a few calories. I woke early to do the workout, but my wife couldn't do it then so I did it by myself. When she was able to workout later tonight, I decided to do it with her. Nothing like two intense workouts in one day!

I felt pretty good doing them both. I definately struggled a little during the 2nd workout, but I got through it.

Day 17

Today was Arms & Shoulders. I struggled today with the workout. I might have been pushing it too hard this week. We shall see as the week goes on.

Ab ripper was even harder than it has been. Oh well, I got through it.

Day 12 (Frustrating)

For some reason, I couldn't get up this morning. That means Kenpo tonight. Yeah! I did something today that I really didn't want to do. I weighed myself a couple of days before the start of week 3. I have stayed exactly the same this week. It was a little frustrating seeing that after all the hard work, there wasn't a change in weight. Oh well, I am not so worried about the weight, but more of how I look & feel. I can say that I am feeling much better after working out for 2 weeks so that is good. I will admit though, seeing that weight not change has motivated me to bring it even harder for week 3. I'll add some new stuff like long bike rides & possibly running to the mix.

Day 11

Due to an accidental sabotage of the alarm this morning by my wife, we had to wait until 10 tonight to start yoga x. It seems to be a common theme with me and each P90x workout, I love them but I hate them. I really like how I feel doing yoga. You have to be committed to finish this yoga workout since it is an hour and 1/2 long.

I found that I don't like waiting all day to workout. I feel so much better after working out in the morning which made today a struggle for energy. Another bad thing about doing it late is that we are not going to get more than 6 hrs of sleep before we have to get up to do tomorrow's workout.

Day 10

It is amazing how things change from day to day. This morning's workout was tough. For some reason, I was struggling with the weight. Oh well, I got through it. Ab ripper x was tough too, but that was because for some reason half way through the first exercise I got a cramp in my stomach. Nothing like working out the abs with a cramp there!

I am finding it easier to keep eating healthy. I have noticed that I don't eat as much as I used to at one sitting. I have really been trying to concentrate on portion size.
